Become a Volunteer

Before volunteering, submit the Diocesan “Big Three” to the Parish Office.

Background Check

All volunteers need to fill out the CORI Acknowledgement Form. It grants the Diocese the ability to conduct a background check to ensure the safety of the parish community.

They must also submit a clear copy of both sides of their valid government photo ID (i.e. driver’s license).

Safe Environment Training

Every six years, all volunteers must complete the Safe Environment Training. The Training includes a series of videos, an online test, and (if passed) a Certificate of Completion. The Certificate must be printed out and sent to the Parish Office.

Note: the Safe Environment Training discusses sensitive topics. Discretion is advised when watching.

Code of Conduct

All volunteers need to read and sign the Diocesan Code of Conduct. Volunteers under 18 years of age must read and consent to the youth version of the Code.

The Diocesan “Big Three” are requirements for all volunteers in the Diocese of Fall River. They are regulated by the Office of Safe Environment. More information about the Office of Safe Environment can be found here.
