Confirmation

By the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.
— CCC 1285, quot. LG 11; Cf. OC, Introduction 2

The reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation is essential to the growth of a Catholic. Through the Sacrament, the recipient (or Confirmand) becomes fully initiated in the Faith, and is given special graces to practice it.

Typically in this region, youth in the 9th grade receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. They are prepared through a two-year catechesis process that begins in the 8th grade. To find out more about our Faith Formation program for Confirmation or enroll your child(ren), please use the link below.

As a parish family, we welcome those who were baptized into the Catholic faith, but never received the Sacrament of Confirmation.

For those 18 years of age and above who were baptized and wish to receive the Sacrament, our parish offers the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). For more information or to enroll yourself in the RCIA program, please use the form below to contact the Pastor.
